An Initiatory Journey Through Mystical Egypt
Meet Your Guide Laurie Wheeler
Welcome! I invite you into the Temples of Light, an Initiatory Journey through Mystical Egypt, the ancient land of Light and Alchemy
Maybe you have been sensing a deep calling in your being that Egypt holds a special place within the intricately woven fabric of your existence. Or perhaps, the thought of journeying to this sacred land evokes an irresistible draw to visit and receive what you are longing to know. If so, it is not a coincidence that you have arrived at this website at this moment in time.
This is a direct connection along your spiritual journey, calling you to open your heart and embrace that which resonates deep within your soul. As you re-activate through wisdom, heart initiations, and teachings of the temples and deities, you will be transformed, as it is within your spiritual DNA to remember more of your soul’s expression.
The sacred journey begins in Cairo on October 1, 2025, ending in Cairo on October 14. When you join us on this 2-week soul journey, you deep dive into the mysteries of Sacred Egypt and those that hold the truth before us.
Within the spiral of life, the Temples of Light hears your desire to remember the great mystery which awakens you to who you are and why you’re here. It provides insight and guidance regarding our relationship to the Divine and ways of manifesting greater happiness, abundance, health and love into our lives. Here it is where you unlock the treasures of the past to illuminate your future.
It is an honor to be initiated and called by Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, healing and enlightened communication, I respond with passion that truly inspires me to return to the sacred ancient land of Egypt and share it with you.
The Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival - welcome dinner at hotel
Evening - The journey for initiation of Memphis is a powerful beginning to this journey through Egypt. It begins with discovery and honoring your story.
Day 2
We begin with a private visit Abu Ghorab- one of the only two Egyptian sun temples found with a number of artifacts made from ancient tools. There is ET activity here as well. We’ll then visit Memphis, little remains of this temple - and is a portal into the library of consciousness or ‘house of life’ from the Egyptian per ankh.
On to Saqqara - the step pyramid of Zoser and the first Activation Portal as the first religious texts in history were carved here. This is a remembering and step into your birthright of unlimited abundance and awaken your gift of symbology and synchronicities…also underground alcoves with sarcophagus and the regeneration chambers.
Day 3
The Sphinx, known originally to ancient Egyptians as “Sheps Ankh” and “the one who brings life” is a sun temple. It holds the blueprint of your divine master plan and inner resonance, supporting your inner journey.
We have a 4 hour private visit in The Great Pyramid is an initiation chamber that assists you in rediscovering the innate knowledge that you are whole, abundant and one with all there is - the wisdom of Oneness and universal truths. When we were here last year, the resonance brought about messages of Light Language and a portal was opened by Thoth.
Thoth will introduce you to the Halls of Amenti, the mystical realm deep within the Earth where eternal life and death converge. Dinner at the hotel
Day 4
Transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Aswan where we’ll visit the House of Essences & learn of the oils. These oils have been handed down from the ancient Egyptians and written on original papyrus. Made using an ancient chemical methods to extract the essential oils from plants which have been chosen by these master deities. Discover the spiritual and medicinal powers. Dinner on Heisa island in Nubia
Day 5
Visit Philae island, home of the Goddess Mother Isis and temple of the Divine. Also representing the remembering of the dismembered Osiris and the process of coming into the light of expanded states of consciousness. Lunch & dinner at hotel in Heisa.
Day 6
Check out and leave early to go south of Aswan to visit the Temple Abu Simbel built by the famous King Ramses II and Temple of Queen Nefertari. This requires 3-4 hours of crossing the Sahara desert by bus. This temple provides access to the divine, the unified mind and key to evolution as a heart-minded being, as you transition out of polarity and into unity. Return to Aswan, after lunch visit Nubian Village.
Day 7
After breakfast, visit Elephantine Island, an essence of the soul evolution through our past lives and a continual dismantling and rebuilding - the souls infinite nature and what it’s evolving into.
Sail to Kom Ombo in Edfu, the Double Temple dedicated to two divinities. Sobek, the crocodile god representing the negative and dark and the young Horus representing light and positive. This is the yin and yang and balance or harmony.
Day 8
Sail to Luxor and visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, who represents the story of our struggle between the lower aspects of self: ego vs. higher divine nature and brings order to the world through the duality of his celestial eyes for healing and wholeness. In evening visit the Luxor temple.
Day 9
Temple of Denderah houses the energy of Hathor - the sacred healer, who reminds us there are two perspectives, our nature to be in a state of ‘joy’, and when in fear, our power is trapped.
Temple of Abydos and private visit to the Osiris temple. See the hieroglyph and ponder the mystery of the Flower of Life, which is burned in the surface of the Osireion, one of the oldest constructions in Egypt. We’ll work on the energy centers of the pineal gland and master cell to align your blueprint. Check in hotel Sonesta - Dinner
Day 10
Early morning an optional balloon ride and experience Egypt from another perspective high above.
We visit the Valley of the Kings, to see three of the most important tombs of former royalty, including Ramses, King Tutankhamen and Colossos of Memnon.
Day 11
Visit Karnak temple and as you walk upon the stones of this complex, the energy reminds you of who you are, your uniqueness, self-acceptance, and inner resonance. Meet Sekhmet, she teaches us fierce compassion and the power of self-forgiveness, which is needed to be one’s own true self.
Transfer to the airport Luxor/Cairo and visit the famous market Khan el Khalili. Dating back to the 14th century, it is known for its vibrant atmosphere, traditional crafts, and narrow, winding alleys. You’ll be sure to find special treats to take home in this market.
Day 12
Visit the * Grand Egyptian Museum, where lies the treasures of Tutankhamen and quite the collection of royal mummies, including Ramses II. Then we’ll make a visit to the Coptic area, to explore the church where the Holy Family was hidden during their time in Egypt when Jesus was young. The energy here is very palpable.
Day 13
Check out and transfer to the airport for flight home.
End of this amazing journey through the Temples of Light in Egypt. This will be an ongoing guide to help you continue to move into the heart. You’ve created relationships with many of the temples and those that spiritually inhabit this sacred and ancient wonder. As you have become more awakened through this initiatory journey — you give birth to a ‘new you’. All participants are required to have a valid passport to be carried on your person or stored safely at all times. It must be valid for at least 6 months post-departure. It is a good idea to photocopy the picture page to carry in a separate place in case of loss and to also keep a copy at home.
Also taking a picture of your passport with your phone and emailing it to yourself is a great way to keep the information as well.

You’ll fly into Cairo on October 1, 2025. You’ll be met by a guide who will help you through customs. Once you have booked your tickets for flights, please send my office your itinerary as soon as possible. Please be on time for the meeting arrangements. If you do find that in the unfortunate event you are delayed, please call my Whats App number or send a text to let me know your plans. Guests arriving or departing outside the itinerary are responsible for their own hotel booking and transport either to or from the airport. I understand that I must send Laurie Wheeler a photo showing that my passport is valid, expiring more than 6 months after the return date. I understand that I will send Laurie Wheeler my flight and travel itinerary to Egypt as soon as I have completed my airfare booking. I will be responsible for ensuring that I have all the proper documentation in order - well in advance of my departure. I understand I am responsible for finding information in my country of residence about the necessary requirements to enter Egypt (visa, vaccines etc.)

A journey of this nature is a financial investment. Trip cancellation insurance can cover your losses on nonrefundable air and land costs on trips cancelled due to personal or family illnesses or unforeseen documented emergencies. It also covers the cost of emergency evacuation from remote areas. A more expensive “Cancel for any Reason” policy is also available.
You must buy trip insurance within 14 - 21 days of the date you send in your deposit (depending on the plan you choose) in order to receive certain benefits, including coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Call Laurie’s office for more information, or check with your personal travel agent.
This insurance only covers US citizens departing from the US. We suggest non-US citizens look for a local agent.
You may also want to check with AAA for insurance coverage.

There are no inoculation requirements for persons with flights originating in the US to Europe. However, it is advisable to consult your physician regarding your personal needs. Doctors and medical facilities are available to us in most places, however we recommend each participant bring their own personal supplies plus any medication needed. Your good health and good physical condition will enhance the experience for you as well as the group.

It is generally very warm although cooler than much of the year. Loose-fitting clothing are helpful for layering in the daytime as we will be doing some considerable walking. Wear comfortable walking shoes, hiking boots or sneakers. A warmer jacket or sweater for early morning and evening. The attire is comfortable and casual.

We highly suggest that you only bring one piece of checked luggage and carry on with you to Egypt and perhaps make provision for an extra duffel bag or buy one for shopping for extra goodies for your return. I always leave space in my baggage. Remember to bring an extra set of clothes and your valuables in your carry-on just in case of loss of luggage. A daypack is often useful and a bit extra storage. This is an area of dusty walking and often cobblestone. A good rule of thumb, if you can’t carry it, don’t bring it! As a note: on pilgrimage, they say “you pack your fears” For a voyage of this type, it’s highly recommended to pack light as it actually aids in the transformational process of letting go. Many people like to buy clothing at the sites as well, so save some room in your luggage. Also, there have been some that have bought extra luggage while there as there are many goodies to bring home.

Please note that the standard voltage is 230 V and you will need a power plug travel adapter for sockets type G for England and Wales, European plugs that have two rounded prongs. You will need an adapter in order to plug in your electric/electronic devices. If you bring an appliance that does not have a built-in converter in the electrical cord (as most laptops now do), you will also need an electrical converter. If you are using a digital camera, you should plan to bring extra memory cards. Hairdryers are provided in most of the rooms.

You will have no difficulty exchanging U.S. dollars into Egyptian currency/pound (EGP). You can do it at the airport and there are ATM’s located close to some hotels we’ll be staying in, although if exchanging at the airport it will cost more. The two best ways to get your money into are to special order them from your bank at least 2 weeks before you leave or to visit an ATM when you arrive. Please confirm with your credit card that you will be out of the country so they don’t do a halt to your card. They will accept debit and credit cards. Many take US dollars as well. Traveler’s checks are a hassle because you are required to show your passport in order to cash them, and many shops will not accept them.

Retreat costs are printed well in advance of our actual travel dates. In exceptional circumstances, the cost of your international trip may be subject to increases which I cannot absorb, due to reasons such as currency fluctuations, fuel costs, tariffs, dues, taxes and fees overseas, the costs of services overseas, additions/adjustments to the tour program, or developments beyond our control. I regret this situation and I do everything possible to avoid surcharges, but sometimes it is unavoidable. I reserve the right to adjust prices before the retreat, as these changes are made known to me. An increase in the retreat prices shall not be grounds for refund of all or any part of payments made towards a retreat and completing the retreat registration form constitutes your acceptance of this provision. So far, to date, this increase has never applied.

It is often different from what most North Americans are used to. It may be not as easy to access organic, whole foods in Egypt. Some vegetarian are available, but choices may be limited. Note: This tour will be taking place in Egypt, and as such anything listed in the itinerary may be unexpectedly closed or changed without notice, but all experiences will be replaced with options of equal or greater value. We have our reservations, so this isn’t of great concern, but to let you know that it can happen.

No Refunds are offered. This retreat has a lot of intricate parts to it and I apologize but I cannot offer a refund. I also strongly recommend trip “cancellation for any reason” insurance.
